No code? Your money comes back.

Temu wants a phone number, and it does not take no for an answer. No code, no charge: nothing is billed for a number that stays silent. So borrow one — choose a market in SMS For U, give the number to Temu, and the Temu code arrives in your account by itself, seconds after Temu sends it. 1,400 services sit in the same catalogue, with numbers from markets across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.

How you get your code

  1. Look Temu up in the SMS For U catalogue.
  2. Take a country from the ones the app is offering for Temu today.
  3. Confirm the order; the Temu number is live from that second.
  4. Type it in at the sign-up screen on Temu and ask to be sent the code.
  5. The code turns up in your SMS For U account unprompted — copy it into Temu and you are through.

Why a phone number is asked for

Temu wants a phone number so buyers and sellers can be reached about an order, and so one person does not open an unlimited number of accounts. Temu asks for it on the sign-up form, before the account exists at all. The number goes in at: the sign-up screen. Temu normally asks for the number once and does not come back to it afterwards.

What the code looks like

Temu sends a 6-digit code by SMS. The Temu code shows up in your SMS For U account on its own, within seconds of Temu sending it — nothing to refresh and nothing to forward. Codes from Temu go stale fast; use it as soon as it lands rather than later. One number can usually serve more than one Temu account, although Temu may limit that.

What can go wrong

Temu accepts numbers from many countries but not from all of them. Which countries work for Temu changes over time, because Temu adjusts its checks and because the available ranges of numbers change. That is the honest state of it — we can hand you a number, we cannot make Temu take it. Nothing on this page is a promise that Temu will accept a number, and no success figure is printed here, because any figure would be out of date by the time you read it.

Countries we serve

We work in the 50 markets set out below, and a Temu number can come from any of them at one time or another. That is a map of our reach, not a stock report: what is free for Temu moves hour by hour as ranges are spent and replenished. Before you count on a particular market for Temu, look at the country screen in the app, which is the one place this question has a current answer.

Common questions

How do I get a Temu verification code without my own SIM card?

Open SMS For U, search for Temu and pick a country. You get a real phone number, you enter it at Temu (the sign-up screen), and the code Temu sends appears in your SMS For U account by itself. No SIM card is involved, and the Temu number is not yours to keep.

How fast does the Temu code arrive?

The Temu code appears in your account within seconds of Temu sending it. How long Temu itself takes is up to Temu and to the country the number comes from, which is why nothing here is worded as a promise.

What happens if no Temu code arrives?

You do not pay for a Temu number that brought no code. Cancel the order in the app and the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. That is the whole rule, and it is why a failed Temu attempt costs nothing: no code, no charge.

Which countries can I use for Temu?

Temu numbers come from the 50 markets listed on this page. Which of them can be picked for Temu at this moment is on the country screen in the app: that list moves through the day, and a page in a search index cannot keep up with it.

Can I use the same number for Temu again later?

A used Temu number is not reserved for you indefinitely. Temu normally does not come back to it after sign-up, but if you need lasting access to the Temu account, use a number of your own.

No code, no charge

You do not pay for a number that brought no code. If nothing arrives, cancel the order in the app; the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. While it is being checked, the amount stays reserved rather than spent.

Cancelling is possible after a short wait at the start of an order — a number needs a moment before it can be reached at all, and a cancellation in the first seconds would be refused anyway.

If a number has already received one code and you need a second one, you can ask for another SMS on the same number. That is a separate, chargeable attempt and it is not refunded even if no second code arrives; the app shows what it costs before you confirm. There is no subscription: you pay per number, never per minute and never per month.

What this is not for

Do not use these numbers for banks, payment services, wallets or crypto exchanges. Those are excluded — and an account resting on a number that is not permanently yours is an account you can lose. The same goes for anything you need access to for years: government portals, tax accounts, insurance. A temporary number is for a one-off confirmation, not a lasting key to something important.
