No code? Your money comes back.

Shopee wants a phone number, and it does not take no for an answer. No code, no charge: nothing is billed for a number that stays silent. So borrow one — choose a market in SMS For U, give the number to Shopee, and the Shopee code arrives in your account by itself, seconds after Shopee sends it. 1,400 services sit in the same catalogue, with numbers from markets across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.

How you get your code

  1. Open SMS For U and search for Shopee.
  2. Pick a country from the list the app shows for Shopee right now — that list is Shopee's own.
  3. Confirm, and the number for Shopee is yours straight away.
  4. Enter it at Shopee — the sign-up screen — and ask Shopee for the code.
  5. The Shopee code appears in SMS For U on its own. Copy it back into Shopee.

Why a phone number is asked for

Shopee wants a phone number so buyers and sellers can be reached about an order, and so one person does not open an unlimited number of accounts. Shopee asks for it on the sign-up form, before the account exists at all. The number goes in at: the sign-up screen. Shopee can ask for the same number again later — on a new device, after a password change or during a routine check. Bear that in mind before you tie an account to a number you will not have access to in a month.

What the code looks like

Shopee sends a 6-digit code by SMS, and on some accounts as a voice call instead. The Shopee code shows up in your SMS For U account on its own, within seconds of Shopee sending it — nothing to refresh and nothing to forward. A Shopee code is only valid briefly, so enter it promptly. One number normally carries one Shopee account.

What can go wrong

Shopee accepts numbers from many countries but not from all of them. Which countries work for Shopee changes over time, because Shopee adjusts its checks and because the available ranges of numbers change. That is the honest state of it — we can hand you a number, we cannot make Shopee take it. Nothing on this page is a promise that Shopee will accept a number, and no success figure is printed here, because any figure would be out of date by the time you read it.

Countries we serve

Numbers for Shopee come from the 50 markets listed below, and the same list stands behind every other service in the catalogue. Read it as where we work, not as a statement that each of them is free for Shopee at this moment — ranges of numbers are used up and refilled through the day. Which of them you can really pick for Shopee is on the screen in the app where you choose one, and that screen is the only current answer.

Common questions

How do I get a Shopee verification code without my own SIM card?

Open SMS For U, search for Shopee and pick a country. You get a real phone number, you enter it at Shopee (the sign-up screen), and the code Shopee sends appears in your SMS For U account by itself. No SIM card is involved, and the Shopee number is not yours to keep.

How fast does the Shopee code arrive?

The Shopee code appears in your account within seconds of Shopee sending it. How long Shopee itself takes is up to Shopee and to the country the number comes from, which is why nothing here is worded as a promise.

What happens if no Shopee code arrives?

You do not pay for a Shopee number that brought no code. Cancel the order in the app and the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. That is the whole rule, and it is why a failed Shopee attempt costs nothing: no code, no charge.

Which countries can I use for Shopee?

Shopee numbers come from the 50 markets listed on this page. Which of them can be picked for Shopee at this moment is on the country screen in the app: that list moves through the day, and a page in a search index cannot keep up with it.

Can I use the same number for Shopee again later?

Sometimes. Shopee can ask for the same number again on a new device, and a used Shopee number is not reserved for you indefinitely. If you need lasting access to a Shopee account, use a number of your own.

No code, no charge

You do not pay for a number that brought no code. If nothing arrives, cancel the order in the app; the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. While it is being checked, the amount stays reserved rather than spent.

Cancelling is possible after a short wait at the start of an order — a number needs a moment before it can be reached at all, and a cancellation in the first seconds would be refused anyway.

If a number has already received one code and you need a second one, you can ask for another SMS on the same number. That is a separate, chargeable attempt and it is not refunded even if no second code arrives; the app shows what it costs before you confirm. There is no subscription: you pay per number, never per minute and never per month.

What this is not for

Do not use these numbers for banks, payment services, wallets or crypto exchanges. Those are excluded — and an account resting on a number that is not permanently yours is an account you can lose. The same goes for anything you need access to for years: government portals, tax accounts, insurance. A temporary number is for a one-off confirmation, not a lasting key to something important.
