No code? Your money comes back.

A temporary number is yours for as long as one verification takes, and then it goes back into circulation. You get a number without a contract, a SIM card or your name attached; in exchange you do not keep it. That trade suits a one-off sign-up and does not suit an account you need for years.

The life of a temporary number

  1. You confirm a service and a country, and the number is reserved for you alone.
  2. For 10 minutes, whatever that service sends to it appears on your screen.
  3. A code arrives: you copy it across, and the job is done.
  4. No code arrives: you are not charged.
  5. Either way the number is released afterwards and cannot be taken back.

Private temporary, not public disposable

A public disposable-number site shows every message to everyone who opens the page. A private temporary number shows the message to you alone. Same word, opposite result.

When it is the right tool

A sign-up you need once. Keeping your own number out of a database you do not trust. Testing the sign-up flow of something you built.

When it is the wrong tool

Anything you will have to log back into by SMS. A new phone, a password reset or a routine check asks for the number again, and by then it belongs to somebody else. Banks, wallets and payment services are excluded anyway.

Is it anonymous?

The number is not tied to your name. It is not a cloak: orders are recorded, and our terms forbid fraud and impersonation.

Common questions

What is a temp number for verification?

A number you hold only long enough to receive one verification code (OTP). You enter it at the service, read the code on screen and let the number go.

How long do I keep the number?

For 10 minutes. The window cannot be extended; if no code arrives in time, you get another number for free or your money back.

Can I use a temporary number for WhatsApp or Telegram?

For signing up, yes. Both apps can ask for the number again later, on a new phone or after a long break, and by then it is gone. For an account you want to keep for years, use a number you own.

Will the service know the number is temporary?

Some will. Services refuse whole ranges they do not trust. That is a decision about a block of numbers, not about you, and another country usually settles it.

Can I use it for my bank?

No. Banks, wallets and payment services are excluded in every country.

No code, no charge

You do not pay for a number that brought no code. If nothing arrives, cancel the order in the app; the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. While it is being checked, the amount stays reserved rather than spent.

Cancelling is possible after a short wait at the start of an order — a number needs a moment before it can be reached at all, and a cancellation in the first seconds would be refused anyway.

If a number has already received one code and you need a second one, you can ask for another SMS on the same number. That is a separate, chargeable attempt and it is not refunded even if no second code arrives; the app shows what it costs before you confirm. There is no subscription: you pay per number, never per minute and never per month.

What this is not for

Do not use these numbers for banks, payment services, wallets or crypto exchanges. Those are excluded — and an account resting on a number that is not permanently yours is an account you can lose. The same goes for anything you need access to for years: government portals, tax accounts, insurance. A temporary number is for a one-off confirmation, not a lasting key to something important.
