No code? Your money comes back.

5SIM rents phone numbers for one-time codes. If you are weighing alternatives, the differences that matter are usually the site language, whether there is an app, how a missing code is refunded and whether you must sign up first. Here is what 5SIM states on its own homepage, read on 24 October 2026, next to what SMS For U does.

Before you switch

  1. Write down what you buy today: which services, which countries.
  2. Open the new service’s country list for each one and check that it is there.
  3. Read its refund sentence word for word.
  4. Test one number before you switch for good.

What 5SIM says about itself, 24 October 2026

The site is in English and Chinese.

The homepage shows no store links for an app.

You log in or sign up first. Browsing needs no account. You add funds to a 5SIM balance.

It says that if no SMS is received, your money is refunded automatically.

It states over 500,000 numbers.

It shows live delivery statistics for every country and operator.

All of this is from the 5SIM homepage, read on 24 October 2026. It is a description, not a review.

Where 5SIM can suit you better

It publishes delivery statistics per country and operator, and its Smart Buy picks a number from them. If you like to choose by those figures, look there first.

It states a very large pool of numbers. If you buy many times a week, a balance is quicker than paying each time.

Where SMS For U differs

The web app sells a single number without an account.

Apps for iPhone and Android, and the same in the browser.

The website speaks eleven languages, including Arabic, Turkish and Indonesian.

We are built for a person buying a code, not for buying numbers in bulk.

No prices, no success rates

Prices and success rates: both depend on service and country and change by the hour. Ours are shown in the app before you confirm.

Common questions

Does SMS For U guarantee a code?

No. Nobody can promise that a service accepts a given number. What we do promise: if no code arrives, you do not pay.

Can I use SMS For U the way I use 5SIM?

For one-off codes, often yes. If your routine depends on automatic buying in bulk, SMS For U is not built for that. Check before you move.

Why is there no price comparison?

Prices depend on service and country and move. A printed price would be wrong tomorrow. Compare the number you need, in the app, on the day.

No code, no charge

You do not pay for a number that brought no code. If nothing arrives, cancel the order in the app; the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. While it is being checked, the amount stays reserved rather than spent.

Cancelling is possible after a short wait at the start of an order — a number needs a moment before it can be reached at all, and a cancellation in the first seconds would be refused anyway.

If a number has already received one code and you need a second one, you can ask for another SMS on the same number. That is a separate, chargeable attempt and it is not refunded even if no second code arrives; the app shows what it costs before you confirm. There is no subscription: you pay per number, never per minute and never per month.

What this is not for

Do not use these numbers for banks, payment services, wallets or crypto exchanges. Those are excluded — and an account resting on a number that is not permanently yours is an account you can lose. The same goes for anything you need access to for years: government portals, tax accounts, insurance. A temporary number is for a one-off confirmation, not a lasting key to something important.
