No code? Your money comes back.

Truecaller will not let you finish without a phone number. No code, no charge: you pay nothing for a number that never receives one. SMS For U rents you a real one — pick a market, put the number into Truecaller, and the Truecaller code lands in your account seconds after Truecaller sends it. Truecaller is one of 1,400 services in the catalogue, with numbers from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.

How you get your code

  1. Open SMS For U and search for Truecaller.
  2. Pick a country from the list the app shows for Truecaller right now — that list is Truecaller's own.
  3. Confirm, and the number for Truecaller is yours straight away.
  4. Enter it at Truecaller — the registration screen on first start — and ask Truecaller for the code.
  5. The Truecaller code appears in SMS For U on its own. Copy it back into Truecaller.

Why a phone number is asked for

Truecaller is a single login with a lot behind it, so the number is how it proves it is you and how you get back in. Truecaller asks for it on the very first screen, the moment you open the app. The number goes in at: the registration screen on first start. Truecaller can ask for the same number again later — on a new device, after a password change or during a routine check. Bear that in mind before you tie an account to a number you will not have access to in a month.

What the code looks like

Truecaller sends a short numeric code by SMS, and on some accounts as a voice call instead. Whatever Truecaller texts to the number is delivered into your SMS For U account automatically, a few seconds behind Truecaller, with nothing to forward. Truecaller expires its codes quickly — type it in while it is fresh. One number normally carries one Truecaller account.

What can go wrong

Truecaller accepts numbers from many countries but not from all of them. Which countries work for Truecaller changes over time, because Truecaller adjusts its checks and because the available ranges of numbers change. That is the honest state of it — we can hand you a number, we cannot make Truecaller take it. Nothing here commits Truecaller to an outcome, and no hit rate is on display — a published figure would be wrong long before you read it.

Countries we serve

Numbers for Truecaller come from the 50 markets listed below, and the same list stands behind every other service in the catalogue. Read it as where we work, not as a statement that each of them is free for Truecaller at this moment — ranges of numbers are used up and refilled through the day. Which of them you can really pick for Truecaller is on the screen in the app where you choose one, and that screen is the only current answer.

Common questions

How do I get a Truecaller verification code without my own SIM card?

Open SMS For U, search for Truecaller and pick a country. You get a real phone number, you enter it at Truecaller (the registration screen on first start), and the code Truecaller sends appears in your SMS For U account by itself. No SIM card is involved, and the Truecaller number is not yours to keep.

How fast does the Truecaller code arrive?

The Truecaller code appears in your account within seconds of Truecaller sending it. How long Truecaller itself takes is up to Truecaller and to the country the number comes from, which is why nothing here is worded as a promise.

What happens if no Truecaller code arrives?

You do not pay for a Truecaller number that brought no code. Cancel the order in the app and the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. That is the whole rule, and it is why a failed Truecaller attempt costs nothing: no code, no charge.

Which countries can I use for Truecaller?

Truecaller numbers come from the 50 markets listed on this page. Which of them can be picked for Truecaller at this moment is on the country screen in the app: that list moves through the day, and a page in a search index cannot keep up with it.

Can I use the same number for Truecaller again later?

Sometimes. Truecaller can ask for the same number again on a new device, and a used Truecaller number is not reserved for you indefinitely. If you need lasting access to a Truecaller account, use a number of your own.

No code, no charge

You do not pay for a number that brought no code. If nothing arrives, cancel the order in the app; the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. While it is being checked, the amount stays reserved rather than spent.

Cancelling is possible after a short wait at the start of an order — a number needs a moment before it can be reached at all, and a cancellation in the first seconds would be refused anyway.

If a number has already received one code and you need a second one, you can ask for another SMS on the same number. That is a separate, chargeable attempt and it is not refunded even if no second code arrives; the app shows what it costs before you confirm. There is no subscription: you pay per number, never per minute and never per month.

What this is not for

Do not use these numbers for banks, payment services, wallets or crypto exchanges. Those are excluded — and an account resting on a number that is not permanently yours is an account you can lose. The same goes for anything you need access to for years: government portals, tax accounts, insurance. A temporary number is for a one-off confirmation, not a lasting key to something important.
