No code? Your money comes back.

Apple asks for a phone number before it lets you in. No code, no charge — a number that never receives one costs you nothing. You choose the market, we hand you a real number, and whatever Apple texts to it appears in your SMS For U account within seconds of Apple releasing it. The same catalogue covers 1,400 services and buys numbers on four continents.

How you get your code

  1. Start in SMS For U by looking up Apple.
  2. The app lists the countries open for Apple at this moment; choose one of those.
  3. Say yes, and a working number is on your screen immediately.
  4. Hand that number to Apple at the Apple Account sign-up form, then trigger the code.
  5. Watch it land in SMS For U by itself, and paste it back where Apple asked.

Why a phone number is asked for

Apple is a single login with a lot behind it, so the number is how it proves it is you and how you get back in. Apple asks for it on the sign-up form, before the account exists at all. The number goes in at: the Apple Account sign-up form. Apple can ask for the same number again later — on a new device, after a password change or during a routine check. Bear that in mind before you tie an account to a number you will not have access to in a month.

What the code looks like

Apple sends a 6-digit code by SMS, and on some accounts as a voice call instead. Whatever Apple texts to the number is delivered into your SMS For U account automatically, a few seconds behind Apple, with nothing to forward. Codes from Apple go stale fast; use it as soon as it lands rather than later. One number can usually serve more than one Apple account, although Apple may limit that.

Countries we serve

The 50 markets below are the ones we buy Apple numbers in. They are examples of where we work and nothing more: a market on this list can still be empty for Apple by lunchtime, because ranges get used up and refilled all day. So take the list as our reach, and take the country screen in the app as the answer to "can I have an Apple number from here right now" — only the app knows that.

Common questions

How do I get an Apple verification code without my own SIM card?

Open SMS For U, search for Apple and pick a country. You get a real phone number, you enter it at Apple (the Apple Account sign-up form), and the code Apple sends appears in your SMS For U account by itself. No SIM card is involved, and the Apple number is not yours to keep.

How fast does the Apple code arrive?

The Apple code appears in your account within seconds of Apple sending it. How long Apple itself takes is up to Apple and to the country the number comes from, which is why nothing here is worded as a promise.

What happens if no Apple code arrives?

You do not pay for an Apple number that brought no code. Cancel the order in the app and the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. That is the whole rule, and it is why a failed Apple attempt costs nothing: no code, no charge.

Which countries can I use for Apple?

Apple numbers come from the 50 markets listed on this page. Which of them can be picked for Apple at this moment is on the country screen in the app: that list moves through the day, and a page in a search index cannot keep up with it.

Can I use the same number for Apple again later?

Sometimes. Apple can ask for the same number again on a new device, and a used Apple number is not reserved for you indefinitely. If you need lasting access to an Apple account, use a number of your own.

No code, no charge

You do not pay for a number that brought no code. If nothing arrives, cancel the order in the app; the payment is refunded as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. While it is being checked, the amount stays reserved rather than spent.

Cancelling is possible after a short wait at the start of an order — a number needs a moment before it can be reached at all, and a cancellation in the first seconds would be refused anyway.

If a number has already received one code and you need a second one, you can ask for another SMS on the same number. That is a separate, chargeable attempt and it is not refunded even if no second code arrives; the app shows what it costs before you confirm. There is no subscription: you pay per number, never per minute and never per month.

What this is not for

Do not use these numbers for banks, payment services, wallets or crypto exchanges. Those are excluded — and an account resting on a number that is not permanently yours is an account you can lose. The same goes for anything you need access to for years: government portals, tax accounts, insurance. A temporary number is for a one-off confirmation, not a lasting key to something important.
